This post was written on the 5th of January; however, due to some reasons, I wasn’t able to polish and finish it. I’m publishing it without polishing it, as I really feel I should publish it, so rather than hanging upon it, I could work on the next edition.
Heyy there, folks!
Happy New Year! ✨
Now that that's out of the way, let me start by apologizing once again for being so inconsistent. However, here's another resolution I'm making: to be more consistent here. Well, let's keep this one short. I'll be talking about what I've been up to and what my goals are for this year.
What I have been up to —
Courses
For the past month, I have been busy with the Deep Learning Specialization by Deeplearning.ai, and I am finally done with the first three courses. Now I’m starting with NLP, but more about it later.

Hackathon win (kind of)
I participated in the Hackfrost 24 Hackathon by WeMakeDevs along with my friends Sushant and Aditya, and we managed to win the Open Source Track!
We created ‘Content Creation on Steroids,’ a platform where content creators can sign up and generate technical blogs, tweets, and LinkedIn posts based on their YouTube videos. Below is the demo we submitted for the hackathon 👇🏽

Funny story, by the way: with the deadline of 12:00, Sushant finished recording the video at 11:59, and we submitted the video exactly at 12:00, without any of us watching the video even once. What a surreal feeling it was.
After submitting to the hackathon, the three of us jumped in a Discord call and watched the video for the first time.
Though we later had to take the server down because it was using our free Azure credits, you can still have a look at the frontend here: https://ccos.adarshdubey.com
GitHub Foundational certificate
Just wanted to put it here, as most of you might not know about this.
GitHub recently released some certifications, and the GitHub Foundational certificate is the easiest one in the list. Moreover, it comes free as a part of the Student Developer Pack and is pretty easy to get as well.
I just put in like 1-2 hours in the prep, basically looking at the syllabus and the topics, and scored 48/60 in it! If you don’t use GitHub regularly or don’t know things like GitHub Projects, then I recommend you spend some time studying it. Either way, it’s pretty easy to pass the exam in a weekend, so definitely go for it!
Okay, okay, okay, enough talking about last year. Let’s move on.
Future goals
I was having a really hard time deciding my ultimate goals for 2025, so I decided to think about this month's goals, and here I am with my goals for January 2025!
I have decided to aim high and see if I can pull this off. I’m not really scared of burning out or anything; I just want to see if I’m able to achieve this much or not. Here are my goals:
I guess it’ll be fair to say I have a lot on my plate this month, but I’m pretty excited for all this.
What about you?
What are your goals for this year/month? Are you starting something new? It can be a course, project, or a simple habit. If you have an answer for any of these, then I would loveee to know that and work along with you.
Let’s build these habits together!
Conclusion
Well, that’s it for this week! I hope you enjoyed reading this edition. We’ll continue with our regular format from the next edition. I’m constantly looking for feedback to improve, so if you have one, please feel free to reach out to me.
